Whole wheat Eggless Donuts !!!!





doughnut or donut  is a type of fried dough confectionery or dessert food. The doughnut is popular in many countries and prepared in various forms as a sweet snack .Doughnuts are usually deepfried from a flour-dough, and typically either ring shaped or a number of shapes without a hole, and often filled, but can also be ball-shaped (the "hole"). Other types of batters can also be used, and various toppings and flavorings are used for different types, such as sugar, chocolate, or maple glazing. 
So here I am sharing the recipe of Eggless doughnuts using whole wheat flour which is very easy and simple as well . 


Ingredients

  • 2 cups / 250gms of  whole wheat flour 
  •   1&¾th teaspoon active dry yeast 
  • ¼th cup sugar 
  • 1/4 th cup warm water
  •  milk add as required
  • 3 tablespoons butter OR oil
  •  ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Oil for frying
  • Compound chocolates
  • Dry fruits / Sprinkles for decoration


Method :
1) In a bowl take some warm water and add sugar and mix well. Then add the yeast as per the measurement and keep aside for 10 minutes until the mixture becomes foamy.
2) In a bowl sift some wheat flour and then add the yeast mixture , vanilla essence , oil and make a dough add milk if required to knead.
The dough should be soft and it should have a sticky consistency .
3)Then keep this aside for  about  1 hour until it doubles.
4) After the dough doubles roll it like a thick roti and using a cookie cutter or a bowl cut it in circle forming the shape of a donut  . Keep this aside  covered for about an hour.


5) In a pan heat some oil and then fry the donuts. 



  
For decoration:
1) Melt some chocolate using double boiler method and then dip one side of the donut in it.
2) Sprinkle some chopped dry fruits or Sprinkles on the top .

Your mouth watering donuts are ready !!!!
